In the picturesque regions of Mansfield and Mt. Buller, young artistic talent is blooming, and Arts Mansfield is here to help it flourish. Our annual Youth Encouragement Award, now open for applications, represents our commitment to supporting the next generation of creative voices in our community.
This prestigious award offers more than just its $500 prize – it's a vote of confidence in our young artists' futures. Whether they're wielding a paintbrush, commanding a stage, or exploring new creative frontiers, this award acknowledges their dedication and helps pave the way for their artistic journey into tertiary education.
What makes this award special is its focus on genuine artistic commitment. Applicants share not just their work, but their story – through portfolios, personal statements, and endorsements from their artistic mentors. It's about recognising not just talent, but passion, dedication, and potential.
Thanks to the generous support of Mansfield and District Bendigo Bank and Radio Mansfield, we're able to continue this vital program. The award will be presented at our celebrated on December 15th at The Delatite Hotel at the inaugural ARTY Awards, where we'll come together as a community to celebrate these emerging artists.
If you know a young artist in their final year of secondary education or aged 17-19 who's dreaming of pursuing the arts, encourage them to apply. Applications close October 31st, 2024. Let's support the next generation of creative voices in our community.

Introducing the ARTY Awards - Celebrating the Creative Talents of Mansfield’s Youth
The ARTY Awards will unite MMuDS, Radio Mansfield and Mansfield Shire Council bodies under one banner shining a spotlight on Mansfield’s up-and-coming creative youth. This free event will also feature performances by local musicians, specially curated by the Mansfield Shire Youth Centre, providing an afternoon of entertainment and celebration of local talent.
