MACS is hosting an encaustic workshop, Painting with Bees Wax and Fire, by artist, Cecile Berger who has been working in encaustic for over 20 years. Encaustic art involves painting with a hot wax medium, embedding colour and other material, and using heat to fuse layers, create unique finishes.

About the event
In this workshop, Cecile will demonstrate the fundamentals of encaustic painting, taking you through tools, painting surfaces, material options and techniques to get you started in your own encaustic practice.
